Working for money is great. This was for a magazine. You know what the great poet Gibran said? "Work is love made visible. And if you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and sit at the gate of the temple and take alms of those who work with joy." I'm not sure I want to beg, but in essence, in a very pure form, this is absolutely true. Everyone could maximize their contribution to the world by finding what is right for them to do. Everyone would then be happier and the world a better place. Supposedly. But then who would man McDonald's? Who would clean the public bathrooms?
